Nielle Gold Project – Côte d'Ivoire
Castle Minerals has executed a binding agreement to acquire a 90% interest in the Nielle Gold Project, a highly prospective gold project located in northern Côte d’Ivoire within the prolific Senoufo greenstone belt.
Nielle represents a strategically significant addition to Castle’s West African portfolio, positioning the Company with a demonstrated high-grade gold system in one of the region’s most endowed and active gold provinces.
The Project is located approximately 50km north of the 5Moz Tongon Gold Mine and within a broader district hosting several major gold deposits including Sissingué (1.5Moz), Wahgnion (3.2Moz) and Syama (11.5Moz). The Project area covers approximately 212km² of highly prospective Birimian greenstone terrain.
High-Grade Gold System
Historical drilling at Nielle has defined a shallow, high-grade gold system over a drilled strike exceeding 1km within a broader 4.5km mineralised corridor that remains open along strike and at depth.
Significant historical drill intersections include:
- 5m @ 15.42g/t Au from 7m (incl. 2m @ 31.54g/t Au)
- 13m @ 5.07g/t Au from 12m (incl. 3m @ 16.33g/t Au)
- 9m @ 4.33g/t Au from 86m (incl. 2m @ 16.88g/t Au)
- 26m @ 1.95g/t Au from 32m
- 26m @ 1.79g/t Au from 108m
Gold mineralisation at Nielle is associated with strong alteration, sulphide mineralisation and quartz-carbonate veining consistent with a structurally controlled orogenic gold system.
Strong Exploration Upside
Despite the strong historical drilling results, exploration at Nielle remains at a relatively early stage, with limited drilling completed across the broader mineralised corridor. Historical air core drilling defined a gold anomalous trend extending for more than 4.5km, much of which remains untested by follow-up drilling.
Castle believes the Nielle Gold Project has significant scope for:
- extension of known mineralisation along strike and at depth;
- definition of additional mineralised zones;
- systematic infill and step-out drilling; and
- advancement toward future Mineral Resource estimation.
The Company’s objective is to rapidly advance Nielle through systematic exploration and establish the Project as a flagship asset within Castle’s expanding Côte d’Ivoire portfolio.
Strategic Location in West Africa
Nielle strengthens Castle’s growing presence in Côte d’Ivoire, one of the world’s fastest growing gold exploration and mining jurisdictions. The Company’s in-country team, led by experienced West African mining professionals, provides a strong platform for rapid project advancement and execution.
The acquisition aligns with Castle’s broader strategy of building a focused portfolio of high-quality gold assets across Côte d’Ivoire and Western Australia.
